I am Lawrence Wortham. I'm from Topeka, Kansas and this is my story and snip bits of my life. In 2011, I married to a beautiful little lady, we'll call her Nina. We have, what we call, a "furry-child" named Zoey. She's an Australian Shepard/Border Collie/ Blue Heeler.In 2016, Conor Scott was born and joined our little family followed by his brother Nolan Reed in 2018.
I currently live in Perry, Oklahoma where I manage a hotel.
I LOVE music. I am a trumpet player first and foremost. Jazz is the music of the Gods. I also play the bass guitar and piano. I also LOVE sports of any kind. I wrestled in high school and some in college before serving an LDS mission in Thailand. I am a die-hard KC Chiefs and KC Royals fan, proud to say that I have been my whole life. Yes, even when they were awful, which was most of my life. I enjoy photography.
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I stand by that. I love the Savior and the gospel. It is a huge part of who I am and the way I live my life. My outlook on life is to do amazing at what you're doing and enjoy the little things in life. In the end everything works out so don't stress.
In 2014, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. A huge curveball thrown in my life. I did what I had to do and went through round after round of chemotherapy and daily radiation treatments.
I am a cancer survivor.
I hope that this blog will inspire others to do amazing at whatever lies ahead of them and to not be afraid. Have hope. Life is an experience, not a routine. Enjoy it.
